'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial major honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously consider lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
